Disciplinary Actions

The State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners is responsible for investigating complaints against its licensees and, when necessary, ordering disciplinary actions against them. In the interest of transparency, the Board posts disciplinary actions taken against Maryland veterinarians since 2010 on the Board portal. When searching the portal you may search by the Name of the Veterinarian or their license number. If they have had disciplinary action since 2010 there will be a link to "View Disciplinary Actions".

Additionally, new public disciplinary actions are recorded in the monthly meeting minutes for any public action finalized since the previous meeting.

For actions before 2010 or for veterinarians not currently licensed, please call the Board office at 410-841-5862 or email mda.veterinaryboard@maryland.gov
